Mark 5:25ff: And a certain woman, who had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suffered many things of physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be well. And Jesus……said, Who touched my clothes? And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee well.
He touched me, oh, He touched me
And oh, the joy that floods my soul
Something happened and now I know
He touched me and made me whole.
I’m sure most of us are familiar with this song and often times we’ll cry out for the healing touch of the Savior but has it ever occurred to us that we also need to reach out by faith and touch Him? Jesus was in a crowd of people with many “touching” him as he walked by and pressed up against Him but it was only the woman with the issue of blood that was healed as she reached out by faith and immediately power had left Jesus!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I don’t want to go through this life with a “business as usual” mindset. I don’t want to be apart of the crowd that presses up against you day in and day out with no power being imparted. I believe, help thou my unbelief. Fill me with your Spirit! I want to know you and the power of your resurrection. Amen!
