PRETENSE IN WORSHIP

PRETENSE IN WORSHIP

Ezekiel 33:31: And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.

Meditation: It’s easy to fool people into believing that we love to go to church, listen to the preaching and teaching, saying our “Amens” (showing much love with our mouths) but God knows our hearts.

Prayer: Dear Lord, as the hymn “Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing” so clearly states, I know that my heart is prone to wander, prone to leave the God I love. Please bind my wondering heart to thee.
