James 1:22: But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Meditation: We are only deceiving ourselves when we decide to only hear the Word of God and not practice it. We may think we are fooling others but the joke is on us because our family and friends know full well that our talk is way ahead of our walk.
Prayer: Lord, I don’t want to deceived. Please Holy Spirit, search and try me. Reveal to me any pretense or hypocrisy in me that I may confess it and forsake it.
