Psalm 119:128: Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.
Meditation: As I finished this section of Psalm 119, I paused to think of my own attitude. I realized that I don’t esteem God’s Word nearly as highly as I ought. God’s word is something that He magnifies (Psalm 138:2). It has been settled forever (Psalm 119:89). It is a sword, a weapon for both offense and defense, that can get right to the root of the matter (Hebrews 4:12).
No wonder then that God wants us to hold it in high regard. Without it, we could never know Him at all.
Prayer: Dear God, please forgive me for my lack of worship of you in respecting your Word. I need to allow you to magnify your Word in my heart. Give me the wisdom to regard it as You desire, to remember that it is settled forever, and your tool for me to reach my lost loved ones. And thank you for sharing it with us.
