Amos 3:3: Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
Meditation: Short answer, No! Walking “together” as used here indicates a unitedness or union, not merely two people walking along. As Christians we must be careful of who we tend to “hang” with lest we adopt the ways of those who walk in darkness and end up agreeing with their way of thinking… “for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness?” 2 Cor. 6:14. So, who are you walking with?
Prayer: Lord, help me to be aware of the times that I may be a little too “cozy” with those who are still in darkness. May I be a light unto them, may I remember to be salt, that I’m to be different, peculiar. May they see Jesus in me! Amen.
