John 14:16: And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Meditation: As we wrap up the Christmas season where we celebrated the birth of Christ, I am thankful the story of Christmas was only the beginning of the life of Jesus. Emmanuel, (meaning God with us), would be hung on a cross shedding His blood for the redemption of man. Jesus is no longer with us in the flesh, but indwelling us with His spirit. We can enjoy His presence now and for all of eternity.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for sending your spirit to dwell in us. I thank you that we are able to be in your presence now and forever. Amen.
