Youth is about many things at Faith Baptist Church. There are endless opportunities for today’s teens. Why offer so much to today’s young people? Well, it is our goal at Faith Baptist Church to do our part in the development of today’s Christian young men and women who will serve God in areas of leadership tomorrow. The student ministry at Faith Baptist Church has many facets including growth, great fellowship, and outreach opportunities. We believe that God will use these tools to mold young minds, bodies, and souls into vessels fit for His use in whatever capacity He desires for them.
Faith Student Ministries is about…
GROWTH
The teen years are certainly formidable ones. Many of life’s most critical decisions can be made during these years. There is no question that the only way young people will grow to be Godly individuals is by being fed and nurtured in a strong, God-centered, Bible-based growth environment. In the midst of the godlessness that we face in today’s society, Faith Baptist Church offers young people just such a growth environment. The Bible is our specialty. It is our desire to give young people the opportunity to grow through every aspect of the youth ministry. Strong leadership and a genuine desire to see our teens succeed, permeates each and every activity from the Sunday School classroom to the bowling alley, gymnasium, or athletic field.
FELLOWSHIP
Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. Prov. 27:17
Another great need in the life of today’s teen is that of good Christian fellowship. There are not many things in the life of a young person that are more influential than friends. The youth group at Faith Baptist Church offers teens the opportunity for good, wholesome fellowship. Activities, retreats, special services, and other outings give our teens a chance to be with friends and to introduce each other to new friends.
OUTREACH
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Matthew 28:19,20. Of equal importance to our teens, is the opportunity they have to take the truth of God’s Word to a world all around them that is lost, without hope and dying in sin. It is an opportunity to share with this world what Jesus can do in their lives. Our teens are encouraged to fulfill Christ’s great commission and command to reach others with His glorious Gospel. Whether at the nursing home, door to door in the community, in services at the church, or on the foreign field, our teens are busy about the work of reaching souls for Christ.
