Matthew 4:4: But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Meditation: God warns me that just as physical food nourishes the body, God’s Word gives me strength for life. My body can not function properly without physical food, and I cannot function properly without reading God’s Word.
Prayer: Lord, I repent of thinking and believing that I can live a life that honors you apart from your Word. As I read your Word today, I need to be reminded that you are speaking to me.
